Congratulations to our Pastor, Evan W. Hill

On June 19 our pastor, Evan Hill, was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church.  This is a wonderful accomplishment for someone so young.  With family members and church members present at Lake Junaluska, Pastor Evan took his Ordination Vows.

We have been facing challenging times since the beginning of Covid-19.  But since the vaccinations and very low numbers of active Covid cases in Macon County, we have again started having our Sunday services in our sanctuary.

Please join us every Sunday morning at 11:00 am for our live worship service.  You can also watch on live (or later) on our Facebook page.  Please note that we are currently requiring masks during service.

And as we inch back towards what we used to consider "normal", groups and events are under way or being planned.  Our Monday applique and sewing group is meeting again in or Fellowship Hall, each Monday at 10:00 am.

The Craft Nights are back in swing once a month with our next one being September 17th.  We'll be making luminaries using glass jars, decorative fall napkins, Mod Podge and foam brushes.  If you're interested in getting a little crafty, give Millie a call in the office at 828-369-5834, or on her cell (828-421-5749).

The Methodist Men meet monthly on a Saturday morning at 8:00 am.  The next meeting is on September 25th and they will be meeting outdoors under the pavilion.

Happenings you shouldn't miss in the months ahead.
